Permutation Polynomials and Complete Permutation Polynomials are useful tools in Cryptography, as they give rise to bent and bent-negabent Boolean functions. In this talk we will discuss some problems related to Permutation Polynomials over finite fields, by means of algebraic and geometric methods. Time permitting, we will also present the geometric Goppa construction for linear codes and some relevant examples.
