System Security and Cryptography

Description

The research focus on system security and cryptography. SYSTEM SECURITY GROUP: our interests range from vulnerability analysis (both in web applications and executable code) to malware analysis and intrusion detection. More in details, the main topics of our research are: Malware Analysis, Reverse Engineering, Binary Analysis, Virtualization, Emulation, Cyber Security, Large Scale of Data analysis, Kernel Malware Security Research, Exploitation, Security Research, Forensics Analysis. CRYPTOGRAPHY GROUP: The main research activities of the group focus on cryptography, coding theory and information security, both theoretical and applied.
In particular, our interests cover a broad variety of topics, including hash functions, circuit minimization, lightweight cryptography, anonymity, wireless networks, security against HW/SW attacks, zero-knowledge protocols, error correcting codes, and traitor tracing schemes.
